BSA 3.5hp

1913

ORIGIN: Small Heath Birmingham

DATE: 1910 – 1973

The formation of BSA (Birmingham Small Arms) can be traced back to the Crimean War in the 1860s, when the British government of the day established an ordnance factory to supply arms to the troops. The company started building motorcycles in 1910 – this bike was made in 1913. Boundless (formerly CSMA Club) have a particular affection for the BSA marque – a BSA was ridden by club legend Fred Perks in the ill-fated International Six Day Trial (ISDT) in Salzburg when the British competitors had to be evacuated back to England when the Second World War broke out while the trial was taking place.
