This year’s 50-year Flashback exhibition transports you to 1967 and the Summer of Love – a time when people wore flowers in their hair and the hippy anthem, San Francisco by Scott McKenzie, filled the airwaves.
Based around the Land Rover Carawagon, this funky display has been put together to channel the cool, groovy vibe of the era. So come and enjoy the sights, sounds and heady patchouli aromas of this psychedelic moment in history.
The exhibition runs from 25 March – September 2017.
Also inspired by the flower-power theme, we’ve decorated a Cotswold Hare for the Cirencester March Hare Festival, which starts on the 25th. Called Flowers in Your Hare, you can see the 5ft-tall sculpture – our contribution to the Cotswold Hare Trail – at the museum. Come say hello to our new friend during your visit!
